What Does Wholehearted Love Actually Look Like?

Loving God isn’t about running through a checklist of religious rules or putting on a front. It is an intentional, daily choice to surrender every single piece of who we are:

• Loving Him with your heart: Letting Him into your messy emotions and desires. It means letting His love guide your decisions and reshape what you care about most.
• Loving Him with your soul: Rooting your identity and purpose in Him alone. Your worth isn’t tied to your daily output; it’s grounded in living for His glory.
• Loving Him with your mind: Intentional pursuit. It means meditating on Scripture, taking your thoughts captive, and letting His truth reshape how you view your world.

A Gentle Reminder for the Journey

As I continue studying faith-based mental health coaching through Light University (partnered with the AACC), I am constantly reminded of how deeply our mental, emotional, and spiritual spaces are connected.

It is so easy to get pulled under by distraction or discouragement. But you are not alone in that struggle. Real peace doesn’t come from having your whole life figured out—it comes from bringing your cluttered mind and tired heart back to the One who made you, one day at a time.

Questions to Ponder This Week

1. In your heart: Where are you feeling most distracted or discouraged right now? How can you honest-to-God invite Him into that exact space today?
2. In your mind: What negative or overwhelming thoughts have been running on repeat that need to be handed over to God’s Word?
3. In your community: Seeking God with everything we’ve got isn’t meant to be a solo mission. Who is one person you can check in on or invite to walk alongside you this week?

A Prayer for Surrender

God, You are worthy of all my love and devotion. You invite me to love You with everything I am—my mind, my will, and my emotions. It’s so easy to become distracted or discouraged, but I want to be completely committed and surrendered to You. Help me to love You fully. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
