The Mission: The Real, Messy, and Beautiful Walk of Faith

Hi, I’m Dalyce. (But you can call me a work in progress.)

First things first: I am a wife to an amazing husband and a proud mom to two incredible kids. Most of my days are fueled by coffee, love, and trying to navigate the beautiful chaos of family life.

But if you’re looking for a shiny, polished Christian mom blog where everything is perfect and nobody ever accidentally says the wrong thing… whew, you are in the wrong corner of the internet!

My story really took a turn when I decided to get baptized. It was an incredible, beautiful moment—but if I’m being completely honest, I think a tiny part of me thought the clouds would part and suddenly I’d have all the answers.

Spoiler alert: I didn’t. What I did get was a fresh start and a front-row seat to how much growing I still have to do.

Real Healing & Real Learning

Part of my own growth meant realizing I couldn’t carry everything on my own—especially while balancing the beautiful, heavy responsibility of motherhood and marriage. I ended up going through Christian counseling for a year and a half, and let me tell you—it was absolutely life-changing. It taught me so much about God’s grace, mental health, and how the two connect.

In fact, that experience lit a fire in my heart to help others who are sitting where I used to sit. Right now, I am actively taking classes through the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors) to become a certified Faith-Based Mental Health Coach.

I’m doing the work because I care deeply about mental wellness, but please hear me: I am still learning every single day right alongside you.

What This Blog Actually Is

Because I’m still in the trenches of daily life, I don’t know everything. Most days I’m just trying to figure out how to match what’s in my Bible with what’s happening in my actual, hectic schedule.

On this blog, you’re getting the unedited version of that journey. That means:

  • Real Reflections: The deep, honest things God is teaching me through the highs and the lows.
  • Calling Myself Out: Yes, I will absolutely put myself on blast when I’m wrong, stubborn, or totally missing the point. (Which happens more than I’d care to admit!)
  • Explaining the Whole Thing: I’m breaking down my thoughts, my mistakes, and the truth of what the Bible says, right here in the open.

The Big “Why”

“The whole reason I started writing this down isn’t to show off a perfect life. It’s to show you a real one.”

I know how heavy life can get. I know how lonely it feels when you’re struggling with your thoughts, your mental health, your faith, or just the daily grind, and you feel like everyone else has it all together.

I’m here to wave a giant flag and say: You are not alone in your struggles.

We all mess up. We all have hurts. We are all learning every single day. If I have to be the one to go first and admit my messes and my healing journey so that you feel safe enough to breathe and say, “Me too,” then I will gladly do it.

Let’s Walk Together

This isn’t a platform where I talk at you from a pedestal. This is a living room where we sit down, pull up a chair, and figure this faith and mental health thing out together—one day, one reflection, and probably a few laughs at my expense at a time.

Thank you for being here. Your struggles don’t disqualify you from God’s grace; they just mean you’re human. Let’s keep learning!
