Scripture Focus: Hebrews 10:23
Life has a way of feeling like you’re standing on a vibrating plate during an earthquake. When things get shaky, our instinct is to grab onto anything that looks stable—our bank accounts, our relationships, or even our meticulously planned Google Calendars. But relying on the world for stability is like trying to rock climb with a fraying rope; it might hold for a second, but eventually, you’re going to have a very bad day.
The Unshakeable Management
The good news is that we were never meant to find our stability in things that can break, leak, or lose value.
- The Stabilizer: God is the only one who provides complete and lasting security because He stays the same even when everything else is falling apart.
- Zero Wavering: Think about your most “flaky” friend—now realize God is the exact opposite. Jesus never wavered in His love or His endurance, which means your hope doesn’t have to waver either.
- Power Move: Since the object of our hope is the very One who cannot be moved, you can finally stop stressing about the “what-ifs.”
Living in the “Already Done”
Faithfulness isn’t just a nice idea; it’s a track record. God already declared His faithfulness through Jesus, fulfilling the promises of salvation and redemption through the resurrection.
- Clingy is Good: As long as we are clinging to Him, we are unshakeable. It’s like being tethered to a mountain instead of a lawn chair.
- Rest, Don’t Rust: You can actually rest in the promises He has already fulfilled and the ones He’s still working on.
- Future Lens: Your daily tasks and decisions start to look different when you realize this world isn’t your permanent home. You have a future inheritance that’s way better than anything you can buy on Amazon.
The Study Takeaway: When you are holding onto the very One who cannot be moved, you will never be moved. God was a promise maker from the beginning, and He is a promise keeper to the very end.
